About Adrienne Nicole Swindle

I am a 20-year-old self-taught artist with a passion for painting.
I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended high school at St. Pius X, where I excelled in academics. I have deep interest in the structure and functions of the human brain, and this led me to the University of New Mexico. I currently a Junior at UNM, pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Biology, Psychology, and Chemistry. This education will carry me on to graduate school, where I plan on attaining a Master's and perhaps a PhD in Neuroscience. I plan on researching drug abuse and mental disorders.
Despite my rigorous academic goals, I have always had a passion for painting. I discovered this passion in first grade art class, and I have been painting ever since. Art has become an escape for me. It balances the stress of my academic life, and it is the best way that I can express myself. I take pride in my creative mind and my ability to produce unique paintings that so accurately express my emotions.
New Mexico is my main inspiration for painting. I am in love with our breathtaking landscapes and beautiful culture. I am also inspired by my own moods and emotions. I play with vibrant colors, silhouettes, and abstract pieces.
